Title: Cool CAP videos
Post by: CAP428 on December 19, 2006, 11:40:37 PM
Hey, I created this thread so you guys can post links to the cool CAP videos you have found.  I am creating one right now as PAO so I've been searching around looking for good ideas.

Anyway, post your cool CAP videos!

Here are two I have found on youtube.  The first one, by Scott Matthews from (CA?) Wing is by far my favorite CAP video I have found.  There is a good chance you have seen it before.  The second is a 65 year tribute video I found on YouTube.

Those are cool.  Why can't NHQ manage to do somthing like that instead of sponsering race cars snd stuff.  My kids watch Channel 1 in school every day.  If CAP made some cool videos like that and ran them on Channel 1 I bet it would do well for us.

I don't know Scott Matthews hardly at all (shook hands and chatted a bit) but yes, he's from CAWG.  Nice guy, too (his wife is still officially on my squadron's MML but she's often gone with the ANG.)

He's a CP guy and he does a lot of those motivational videos for CAWG's Cadet Program.

Sort of a SoCal legend and much-respected figure.  Also earned the Spaatz and is a veteran.  Has a BIG love of all things cinema (as if one couldn't guess that!)

Yeah, I know what you mean, but as a matter of fact, NHQ is the one that contracted Scott Matthews to make the other videos you may have seen featuring the different NCSAs.  Those were made by him per NHQ's request/bill.

If only they would do the same for their recruiting videos.  Personally, listening to statistics does not motivate me to join anything .   ;D

It's all good though, I am in the process of makinga recruiting video that can hopefully be made by any squadron or wing.

Yeah, I couldn't remember for sure if he was from CAWG or not.  But I was pretty certain b/c I've read some articles about/by him on CadetStuff and then I met someone from CAWG who knew him.  Anyway, he makes some pretty kick-a videos.

P.S.
Here are some articles profiling Scott Matthews and his work on CadetStuff.  There are links to more articles about him and his videos at the bottom of this linked page:
