Title: Possible Aerospace Education Project
Post by: FARRIER on December 05, 2010, 07:52:15 AM
Greetings:

I haven't thought through the requirements to get this authorized through the FAA, nor is is this an attempt to help the seller. But, having access to weather balloons, the idea for a Aerospace Education project to gather data, photo's etc is there.

Respectfully,
This is an EXCELLENT IDEA!!  I think there's been a  few CAP units in the past that have done this.  Perhaps buried somewhere in the CAP On Line News is the unit and they could be contacted for "lessons learned".

I think it is VERY important, whenever possible, to take as many of the aerospace concepts read in the book, and actually do some field "hands on" work or at least visit a facility where the concepts can be demonstrated.
