Based on a true story!!!! Enjoy!!!
At least it wasn't a pink flamingo. Nice of the cadets to think of you as well.
Is it just me, or does anybody else see Alfred E. Newmann in that cartoon?

Before I beg to differ, sir- is that a picture of Major Carrales, or Alfred? ;D ;D
What picture?

It's Alfred.
I've seen the Major's picture. His ears don't stick out that far, and he has all his teeth.
I see a striking resemblance between Comic Maj Carrales and Alfred. Maybe not real-life, but there is a certain similarity between them... YMMV

Fix your browser. The pic works here, but I'll try to redo the link.
[Edit - how is it now?]

Nothing. I do have my browser fixed. That's probably why I can't see it. I've got Firefox locked down pretty tight so I don't get infected with crap.
Edit:
Going through the page source I pulled this link (http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs203.snc4/38510_450446710475_724795475_6419726_5138250_n.jpg) out and saw it.
The Cadet giving him the keychain looks like a cousin of A.E. Neuman
Hope y'all enjoyed the pic. There was no "Alfred" connection...save for the expression in the cadets face on the final panel, I was going for a "WHAT ME WORRY?" look.
Yes, I tried to model the Major on myself...as not to offend any particular person. I once drew one of these using "Major MacKillroy," a character from some of my failed writings but got an email that it looked like some fellow, A COMM person, in the Colorado Wing.
While I dismissed that as "ribbing" I did not want to take a chance.
OK, I just looked at the Major's FB pic, and he's an older Alfred, with fixed teeth.
Sorry, Joe. I have my own resemblance issues.

Sadly, same guy.

Very nice Sir. Would you like me to get you another Orlando Keychain?
Sparky, how true to life is your image in the comic?? Because it strikes me you look a lot like US Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ).

Yikes!!! We do seem to have the same MO. I could play him in a movie and get away with it. In any case, the Major in the cartoon is only "based" on me.
We'll get someone classy to play you in the film version -- Edward James Olmos, Jimmy Smits, like that!
Man, the oddities of dreams. I think it was a combination of being away from home, this thread and watching (partially) Ronald Coleman in "The Prisoner of Zenda" and "A Tale of Two Cities" that made me have a dream that Sen. Melendez and I met and exchanged places.
"The Prince & The Pauper" had a similar plot but a happier ending!
