Title: Delta Dream Flight
Post by: DakRadz on July 21, 2010, 06:03:39 AM
So I'm going down to the Kennedy Space Center in Melbourne, FL (a.k.a. Cape Canaveral) today, Wednesday 21st, as part of the Delta Dream Flight- free flights from Delta, manpower and such by the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals.

I was selected by the DCC to attend (:D) along with one other cadet- this is the first time we've been offered something by wing, so we're all happy XD

We will be receiving a tour of the facilities of the site of the last manned launch made by the USA. More to come later, after I've gone and know what I'm getting.

Enjoy it.  It is a great place to check out.  I've been there a couple times - most recently for the (night) launch of STS-130.  A night launch is a pretty awesome sight and right on the causeway, with the reflection of the orange glow on the water - it was outstanding.
