Check out this new system. :-\ It is located on the pubs page, national web site under CAPR 60-1. It starts 1 June
saw it. read it. clever - not very good, but very clever. national's way of almost being serious about saftey without actually deaing with the issue in a forthright manner. lawyers were invovled.
We are using it now. As an FRO, it is nice to actually see what I am sending a crew in without having to be at the aircraft itself.
Any lessons learned to pass on. Curious to know how the yellow card thing is working and who can make the initial write-ups in the system?
Implementation is going to vary slightly wing to wing. The yellow card concept is okay, but failed, IMHO, since the card gets thrown out as soon as discrepancies are put into the online system. I really think the yellow card should remain onboard until the discrepancy is actually resolved (IE fixed).
Benefits are that everybody can see all of the write-ups on the aircraft in the wing from any location. It's also nice to get warnings via eServices when a mission is released or input.
