Title: ORMS Annual Inventory date extended
Post by: Laplace on March 03, 2010, 02:03:04 PM
This was posted on ORMS news:

We have extended the closeout of the Inventory cycle to the 31st of March in order to provide more time to learn the new system and accomplish the inventory.

Anybody having problems getting this done with new system?  I finally got all squadrons & individual issues done yesterday!!   Just in time for next week's C.I.!

I am sooooo not surprised here.

It was probably easier to extend, than to logistics freeze nearly every wing. The new system finally doesn't suck, too. It's fairly straight forward, fairly responsive, generally works.

And best of all you don't have to send a deluge of faxes to group and wing.

Faxes?  Seriously.  Its 2010.

Anyway, the old process took ten minutes or less for the average unit, the new one 3-4.  What's the big deal?
