Kevin Harrison Tarwater (The Eggman), 65, of Wears Valley, passed away at 8:40pm on Tuesday July 13, 2021 of a serious illness. He was born on June 3, 1956 in Sevier County to parents, C.H. and Jean Evelyn Tarwater.

He was a sixth-generation farmer in Wears Valley and took over his family's egg delivery business, Valley Home Farms Est. 1952, after graduating from high school.

His name, face, and laugh are known all over Sevier County.

He attended Wearwood Elementary and graduated from Sevier County High in 1974. It was at that high school that he met his loving wife of 43 years, Sharon King Tarwater. He and Sharon were high school sweethearts, meeting the year he graduated, then dating until they married on October 7, 1977. He was a dedicated family man, who enjoyed doting on his wife and raising two children.

He started volunteering with the Civil Air Patrol in April,1969 and became Major in 1984, also serving as a commander for 23 years. He enjoyed helping instruct the future generation of cadets, and contributed to many search and rescue missions throughout the east Tennessee area. He was a charter member of the Wears Valley fire department, helping to establish an emergency support department for the community he grew up in and loved so much. He also joined the Sevier County Sheriff's Department at 18 as a field officer, serving through his passing.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Evelyn Allen Tarwater and his father, Clarence Harrison Tarwater Jr.

Kevin is survived by his wife; Sharon King Tarwater, daughter; Sabrina Tarwater, son; Kyle (Lindsey) Tarwater, brother; Keith (Clara) Tarwater, sister; Karen (Bill) Price, nieces and nephews; Lora (Bryan) Tharpe, Billy Price, Madison Price, Derek Romines, Laurel (Derick) Tarwater, as well as many cousins and friends.
