All three times I wiped out was because I was flung into *what felt like* g-turns while going over 2 foot waves.  I would fly out, flip on my back, and skip a few times before sinking into the water.

That's nothin, my dad used to get the boat going in circles so that your effectively jumping 5+ foot waves. After drinking a few gallons of lake water doing that and being whipped back and forth for 20 minutes on tight turns at 50 mph, then you're having fun.

But the real fun stuff is when you've got one of the ones that is built like 3 intertubes rotated to vertical and connected within a cover. Then you get to do rolls that can be difficult to stop.

QuoteI bet I beat the world record for skipping on top of the water.

If you didn't go 100-150 feet skipping on your back, then you didn't beat me.
If you are confident in you abilities and experience, whether someone else is impressed is irrelevant. - Eclipse

Love the Apaches behind you!  I don't see any FCR's.. However, right under the FCR would be the RFIs.. (on the Longbow) That is one of the things I work with.  I'll be heading back to Kuwait next summer to train Apache pilots on the ins/and outs of it.

Do they still call it the "wiener mobile" or have they PC'd the name? I've missed every opportunity to see it thus far, but it's on my list! Are there more than one?

Here's me at my morning job...

It's a little fuzzy, because it was captured from the video of a station promo. You can see it here if you want...

It is still called the wiener mobile.  And the guy said there are only 2 of them.  The regular one, and the brand new in '08 Mini Wiener mobile

ICL 25 JAN 08, 3.C
Quotec. New Corporate Uniform. Effective 15 March 2006, a new distinctive
Corporate Uniform for senior members and cadets over 18 has been approved. The
basic Corporate Uniform consists of the following...

I believe it used to be written in a few more places as well, but disappeared when they cleaned up the ICLs a while back.

Flying Pig

Ahhhh...gotcha.  I forgot about the over 18 part.  Thanks.

Not a power user here, but I do visit often.  Usually with this look on my face:
Captain

MIKE

Where'd you get that CAP cap?
Mike Johnston

RiverAux

I like that cap a lot except for the multi-colored italic Civil Air Patrol on the side, which in my opinion does not present a professional appearance which I believe is important since this cap is often worn with the corporate uniform....but then again, anything goes with corporate outerwear...

RE: Phillip - Should he be wearing a CAP cap while wearing a white T-Shirt?  Let's use the next 15 pages to discuss it!

Uhhh Sparky your CAP crusher cap is on crooked in the 2nd and 3rd frame...  17 pages of discussion to follow that violation!

I think his ribbons are out of order in the top frame?

I believe that was a gift from Yasser Arafat to Saddam Hussein.  Fortunately both of those cats are dead so ya may be out of luck.

OK...here are some serious photos.  Above, Operationg the Radios at San Antonio Mission base during the Recovery Efforts for Hurricane IKE.  Below,  the "standard" Major Carrales aircraft shot.  Also at San Antonio for IKE recovery, went down to check the "repeater" in the highbird at the Stinson flight line.
