CAP Ribbons

I know ribbons are somewhat optional, and you don't have to wear them. However, if you choose to wear them does it have to be all of them? Or can you take off some of the ribbons in order to shorten the rack? Sometimes I think a large rack of ribbons does not look neat. So my question is if you wear ribbons does it have to be all or none, or can you shorten it out? Thanks

This is also not entirely true depending on which uniform you are wearing.

Both cadets and seniors are allowed to short-stack now.

Ribbons are required on the service dress jacket.
