How much effort is the senior PAO of record doing, because anything the cadet does should be
an extension of that.

A lot. We get regular press, including TV and have a growing social media presence. Internal communication good as well. Cadet has an interest in videography.

Is there a Senior PAO in the Squadron that could mentor the Cadet?

Assign the cadet a simple project, perhaps marketing / documenting, etc., a single activity.

Give him clear instructions and make sure it has objective criteria for success, including
an expectation of timeline. Get a read-back on the Goals / Resources / timeline, and let the
cadet work on it, providing help when asked.

See how that goes.

Grow things from there.

An end-to-end walk through of the PAO plan and current operations should be done as well.
