Title: Operations Officer Specialty Track
Post by: flyguy06 on March 30, 2006, 03:57:22 PM
While I was going through the specialty tracks, I realized something. To become an Operations Officer is limited to CFI's. In order to get a Technician rating in the Operations Officer specialty track, you must frist get a tech rating in the stand/eval officer specialty track. In order to do that, you have to be a CFI. SO, the only people that take this track are CFI's. I find that very limiting. What if you are a Ground team guy and you want to be an Ops officer?

Yeah, I'm kind of new, having come back from a loooong vacation ;).  I'm in the Cadet Programs track right now, but am also interested in OP's for the long term since I am a pilot.  I also have a few questions on the OP's track.  Any Operations Masters out there who can clarify some stuff? ???   Maybe we need to move this thread to Emergency Services ???
