The CAP National History Program is seeking donations of photographs, textual records, and artifacts for inclusion in the CAP National Archive and Historical Collection (NAHC). In particular we are looking for items and records of the past 20 years of CAP.

Examples of what is missing (both records and artifacts) from the collection: 11 September 2001, Hurricane Katrina, Deepwater Horizon, Steve Fossett Search, Cyberpatriot, Operations Vigilant Falcon and Falcon Virgo, Green Flag / Surrogate Predator, other hurricanes and DHS operations, etc. In short, the gulf is vast.

If you have an item or collection you are interested in donating, please message me. What we are not necessarily looking for are random uniform items or insignia you no longer need. If, however, these items were used on a particular mission or operation, that we do want in order to tell a story at a museum exhibit.

In terms of the paperwork involved, CAPR 210-3 and CAPF 180 - 183 now govern all donations, so there is a full accountability and an inventory system in place now.

Please help the CAP National History Program save not just your CAP history, but the history of CAP in general.

We must be thinking a like. My spring cleaning donations went to a U.S. Army Field Artillery Museum.

Next year will be CAP  8)
