Why is the American Flag Patch Worn on the CAP BDU???

Do you know why the American flag patch is worn on the CAP BDU?

If your answer was yes, please explain.  I'd really like to know why CAP has adopted this unique uniform custom from the U.S. Army, even when it contradicts USAF uniform regulations.

Yes, but a poll on this has not been done yet.  All I want to know is why the patch is worn by CAP when the Air Force doesn't wear it on their BDUs.
