Hello all.  The stars aligned enough for me to attend the Great Planet debate conference here in Laurel, MD.  It was essentially a random target of opportunity because I was here already for my regular job.  Meeting some really excellent educators and scientists during the proceedings - and the presentations are totally cool.  I wasn't prepared for the overwhelming welcome and friendliness of the attendees and staff.

And I got to sit third row from the stage...   ;D

This is a treasure trove conference for AE.  Wish we had more attending!

I'll be attending the education workshop tomorrow.

Lots of contacts for AE media and materials.  Attendees are excited to hear about our mission, and its been a pleasure to tell them about the orientation ride effect on cadets as a parallel on how to get them hooked on science.   I'll probably make a similar comment to the open panel tomorrow at the workshop.

In civilian attire - unfortunately.  Had I known before the trip what I know now, would have dressed differently.

Have some great pictures, just need to download them.  Will try to post soon...
