If there's a "clean" version, then there's obviously an unclean version. I think it's a bad idea to even joke about it being the squadron song because then someone is going to sing the unclean version at a squadron meeting or other CAP event.

If your Group or Wing CC gets wind of it, that will be the end of that.

Where would a unit use an "official song" anyway?  This one certainly isn't in a time that would allow it to be used as
a cadence, and even if it were no encampment commander or other activity POC with a lick of sense would allow you
to use it in public.

Well seeing as the song contains explicit references to drug use (not surprising when it came off the album "Rolling Papers"), I would say right there it is a disqualifier. One can pick a radio edit or clean version, it doesn't change the fact it is what the song is at least in part about. More importantly, and has already been stated, why do you need a squadron song?

What was the OLD theme song and why do you need one...? What possible purpose would a theme song serve?

I'm going off topic here, but I must ask a Q of the OP - How is it that you have a Red Service ribbon in your sig line, but only the Curry achievement to go with it? At a minimum completion rate of one achievement every six months, you should have at least three or four more ribbons.
