QuoteMore than 200 Civil Air Patrol members from across the U.S. and overseas are already at Oshkosh, preparing to support EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019.

In all, 150 CAP cadets and 51 senior members will pitch in during the event, which annually draws more than 550,000 people and over 20,000 aircraft to Wittman Field, making it the busiest airport in the world for at least one week each summer.

Maybe we can keep this thread a happy one.  :)

One could imagine it was pretty sporty up there weather-wise this AM.

Weather is a fact, not a feeling.

When it came through this AM I thought "Hope those guys up there are OK."  That's it.

CAP has had more then a few "sporty" activities like this in the last few years, and in their position
at Airventure they'd be right in the thick of it. Which is why they are there.

Read what's there, not your filter.

Oh, and FWIW, that's a photo from last year....

I'll be there Tuesday just as one of the many spectators.  Weather looks good.  I love EAA.

Yes it was, but everyone did what they were supposed to do and stayed safe. Operations are underway now and we're doing our part to support the air show and the mission.

Looks like more excitement tonight and tomorrow, too.

Tie'em down and charge your batteries!
