Title: Signature Block Decorations
Post by: West MI-CAP-Ret on March 08, 2013, 03:05:57 AM
I know this request has been asked before, but I just can't find the links; sorry.

Anyway, is there a program where you can put your ribbons and awards in, to be part of your signature block, like I see on the bottom of several posts?

Just looks real cool and snazzy... 8)

Most go to a CAP ribbon rack generator online, take a screenshot, and edit in a Photoshop type software. Those with the snazzy backgrounds used a paid web generator I believe.

That's how I did mine.

Snow white box with a crimson red "X" in the center, or at least on my computer. The others came out OK.  ???

I understand photoshop.  I don't see instructions for uploading a photograph.

You don't upload it here.

You host it on a site like Imageshack and then link back to it in your sig.

At the risk of sounding stupid, is there a way someone who has done this could write out instructions how to do this?

This week I will try to attempt this.  If successful, I'll post the instructions for others.

Thanks, Demon Ops 8)

No, you put the image URLs in .. directly. you need to use the "Image" function in the editor. First button on the second row.

Try to find a different image, rather than one that has the Vanguard text slashed across it, if you intend to use the ones that you have in the signature block now. They also might make the whole thing too big, if they are placed under your four lines of text like that.
