Gist of the thread, post up what your Squadron Mates refer to you as.  Kind of like "Maverick" or "Goose" type of thing.

We have talked about this at our "after meeting" 30 min parking lot "bull sessions."

It was agreed that we would let our nicknames form naturally.

That being said, they (including Community and Radio/TV people) have taken to calling me "THE MAJOR."

That sound a bit to "Animal Farm" for me.

Affectionately I am known as Stormy. Cali (short for Caliguiri) seems to stick from different activities I have attended. But Stormy is the main one. Most people think its in reference to my personality..ha ha Not saying they are wrong, but I'm not that bad!  ::)

Monty

"Monty" (short for my family name "Montgomery")

Too long for most people to spell (and you'd be surprised how many people spell "Montgomery" wrong.  Examples?  McGomery, Mungumry....and my all time favorite: McMontogerie)

The names people call me are not appropriate for this forum.  ;D

No real nickname other than up until a year ago, I was occasionally called "Comm Guy".

Actually, just yesterday, the Wing Commander referred to me as "Chief" several times.  Maybe a beginning?

Hey, be grateful that is only the case, behold...

Montgomery

My given name is Jose Ely Carrales...most people call me Joe, best friends call me Joe Ely.

Joe Ely is correctly pronounced as Joe "L" "E"

I get plenty of confusion with the Country Singer of the same name... "Joe EE-ly" and the Biblical figure E-"lie."

Who can forget those that call me Joe-ly, like "wholely."

After that other call me "El Marichi Loco" because of my musical career.
