I'm working on a graphics and clip art page for all.  Who has stuff we can steal?  Need badges, patches, etc., etc.

NEBoom

I've got some stuff I've accumulated over the last few years.  What's the best way to get it to you?

Zip file(s) by e-mail?  My e-mail is in my profile.  Thanks.  I will post the URL here when I am done, so everyone can make use of it.

Outlook ;)

Mozilla Thunderbird.

Matt

I've got a few, and I can get a few... All will (hopefully) be accumulated in the week.

Great - the more the better.  I'll go through everything, nuke the duplicates, and publish the collection.

I'm sure you've already thought of the AF Art galleries, including the CAP Symbols section which is handy because it offers CAP symbols in EPS/vector format.

They also have this graphic in the "Fact Sheet Graphic" gallery.

I have those, but they are silly.  They imply we have some sort of connection to the US Air Force.  Couldn't have that...   ::)   :(

Yeah... very interesting that the CAP graphics in AF Link include the old command shield, but not the new one.   ??? >:D

IIRC, FLWG and CAWG websites have clip art galleries.

JC004

I know about FLWG, but I couldn't find one on CAWG's site.  If only National had a decent collection...

SDF_Specialist

The second one is not related to CAP, but I thought I would try to inspire a few chuckles.

Please note that the second photo does not in anyway represent the actual feelings of the poster's perspective of the president. The poster's feelings of the president were inspired by the actions of the 9/11 terrorists.

Thanks for finding CAWG's.  FLWG's is probably one of the best, but their site behaves terribly in Firefox.

Keep 'em coming, folks.  I got a whole bunch of e-mails with graphics.  I am hoping to create your one-stop shop for CAP graphics.  So far, the folder that I am working with has over 500 in it.  Here's what I'm collecting for us:

  • Rank insignia
  • Specialty insignia and badges
  • Wing patches and shields
  • Ribbons (I think I have them all now) and attachments
  • NCSA and other authorized patches (mostly the stuff that goes on the BDU/BBDU left pocket)
  • National symbols of various descriptions
  • Medals and mini-medals

James Shaw

I have hundreds of these available. There are to many to send one by one. Any specific you want. I have every specialty badge and even some that havent been made yet.

My CAP/ART directory has over 200 files. It zipped to 20Mbs.  Where do you want it sent?    ;D

Been collecting these for a while since I have been a PAO....

Would you be able to set them to upload to somewhere like xdrive and share the folder?

Might have to split it to get it though, but JColgan at pawingcap (.org).  <--modified here to confuse spam spiders and national board members

Don't feel bad. It doesn't do too hot in IE either.

Believe it or not, it's improved considerably over the last few months.

It kind of looks like it has been in a train wreck.  It worked OK on Firefox before, but it seems to have exploded...You broke it, didn't you?

Anyone have these two with the tips on the shield?  They seem to be cut off...

I've got about 500 graphics in the collection so far.  I'm still collecting.  I should have them up for everyone to use soon.

floridacyclist

If anyone wants webspace to put their collection online, I have about 90 of my 100 gigs still available. Let me know and I can set you up with a password and either a subdirectory or sub-domain. We could probably set it up through my photo-hosting software for that matter as an album.

Thanks.  I'm going to look into what software is best to power this.  I was thinking Gallery, but I'm not sure.

I always liked the simplicity of Plogger for photo galleries.  It could probably be easily customized for this type of application.

I'm sure you are looking for "art" and computer renderings, but if any of the scanned images on the CAP Patches website are useful - feel free to copy them, modify them, vector them, or whatever you like!

I shall have to look.  Shouldn't you be working on the New CAP Order marketing plan?

Excellent - thanks.  I think we should at least have the current patch of each wing, even if they are scanned images.

The collection grows!

Here's CAWG--> http://www.cawgcadets.org/resources/graphics.php
And FLWG--> http://flwg.us/html/graphics.html

It was pointed out to me that, as pretty as they are, the FLWG's ground insignia do not use the correct wings.

I've used them myself because they are so nicely rendered, but if someone is building a repository the goal should be 100% correct on all graphics.  These things have a tendency to become defacto "official".

Yes it did.  I took down all this stuff that was eating up space and bandwidth.  I had a bunch of stuff like experimental online mission management tools, equipment reservation, a photo gallery (few GBs alone), etc.  It took up a lot of space and was being unused.  I DID see the folder for this a while ago on one of my external HDDs.  I'm not sure which one.  I've been sorting my files recently.  I'll try to find it.

Майор Хаткевич

There might be some interesting stuff. Maybe see if it fits on DVDs and sell them at cost? (time, DVD, shipping etc).

If you had 500+ graphics, a lot of those might be good to use for people developing unit websites or other things like business cards/flyers, etc, etc.

JC004

I know people were using this when I finished it.  I wonder where I published the URL and why I didn't do it here.

I did this three years ago, so I don't know what I still have.

DakRadz

I would be very interested if all this could be found. Not a whole lot of know-how, but I could wade my way through it to spruce up the unit web page.

Capt Rivera

If space/bandwidth is an issue at all Grand Forks Composite Squadron can lend a hand.
