Title: ES Qualification renewal
Post by: farsightusf2017 on May 01, 2020, 10:43:39 AM
Hello all,
My GTM qualifications expired a little bit ago and I was at a SAREX working on the tasks to renew my GTM3 and the evaluator said that if I just renewed my GTM1 and did those tasks then it would renew my expired 2 and 3. I did not think this sounded correct and I looked through the pubs and I couldn't find anything besides the equivalency table for renewing non-expired qualifications. Any one got any gouge?

This is correct, however must be processed manually for downstream.

Same for GTL and includes UDF.

Google Table of Equivalencies.

Here is the chart Eclipse is referring to: https://www.gocivilairpatrol.com/media/cms/SORTIE_EQUIVALENCY_CHART__August_20_D9D829B717A18.pdf

Correct me if I'm wrong, and I most likely am, but the Sortie Equivalency means if I do a sortie as GTM1, it will automatically count for GTM2 and 3 mission credit, but doesn't necessarily waive the task signoffs for those quals, or does it?

My understanding was that the table of equivalencies only applied to renewal of non-expired qualifications but this helps! Thank you so much all!

Renewal is renewal, there is no distinction.

Although Eclipse is correct, occasionally there are issues with the system if it is an expired qual where it won't renew the ones below the one being renewed. If that's the case, get with your SET & chain of command and they can get it worked out. Happens all the time and it's a fairly easy fix once it's spotted.
