The CERFP is a Joint Task Force composed of three seperate companies(engineers, chemical, and medical) that form a battalion and respond to chemical, nuclear,or biological issues that arise. We also respond to natural disaters. I love this unit because it is a a pure national guard unit. Our deployments are to the super bowl,or the world series, and things like that. The medical unit is an Air National Guard medical group which is why we re considered a joint task force.

We either use civilian law enforcement or we have an MP Company attached to us for security. And I totally forgot the fourth element, which is my element. Command and Control. we arethe smallest yet we are where everything comes together in the task force

By the way, FlyGuy, you have worked with my wife.  Or at least she knows who you are and has seen you at training.  I showed her your pic and she knew exactly who you were.  She's from the ANG Med Group side.  She keeps her deployment bag here at the house and has been called several times and put on "standby" for possible deployments in the past year.

Don't be volunteering us for anything, Nick.  You can keep your CBRNE stuff.  Pulling security in MOPP IV is not something on my "To Do" list.

I have the skill identifier for Army First Responder and NBC NCO course but I have forgotten them.  My opinion of being involved with

Blowing stuff up in artillery was cool.
