Funny, I used to wear AF Blues, when I was obviously over weight.  Now, I wear the gray slacks. White shirt and blue tie and blue sweater, and blue BDUs.  Now I'm comfortable and now prefer wearing the blue BDUs (so folks don't think I'm part of the Michigan Militia).

Those of us with active military service do get a bit persnickety about haircuts, military bearing, etc.  if you don't want to do the Kabuki dance, than stick with golf shirts...
