It's been a big week in Colorado.  Our SAREVAL was this week; we'll learn our score today.  A ton of hard work went into planning and execution.  There were a variety of other activities this week as well.

On Thursday we helped stage a mock disaster for the CO Army National Guard.  They loved us and spent a lot of time giving us tours and informational presentations during our down time.

We also netted some media coverage thanks to our talented Public Affairs staff.  They also put my ugly mug (among others) on a Denver TV station and a local newspaper this week.

Regarding the MICOM HF Radio deployment package setup in the picture, were you using ghe 60 foot deployable antenna or did you have a larger antenna set up?  We've used the 60 foot sloping antenna with fair results on the National Primary calling frequency.  One of our members has design an NVIS antenna & we are in the process of getting that approved by the military to put on our headquarters building.

BTW great work!  It's great to see CAP get such good coverage

That was my first time using that kit, it was brand new.  We only attempted the included rapid deployable antenna.

Our overall score on the SAREVAL was excellent, and we garnered an excellent in Communications (heck of an exercise for my second CUL-T mission!) and an outstanding in IT.   ;D
