Robert "Bob" Durant Maw, 73, loving husband of Patricia Maw, of Greenville, died March 5, 2021.


Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Charlie and Christine Thrasher Maw.


Bob spent his years serving others. He served 6 years in the US Navy. Petty Officer Maw served in Vietnam as an electronics technician aboard the USS Blue Ridge. He was a part of the Selective Service System and a member of Civil Air Patrol. He spent over 40 years of his professional life as a broadcasting engineer with WYFF-TV, Hearst Television Inc., and was a part of the Society of Broadcast Engineers.


In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his daughter, Courtney Melba (Scott); stepson, James Hendrix (Kimberly); step-daughter Amy Bunce (Steven); sister Rhonda Carey (Harold); brother-in-law Robert Attaway (Beverly); and two step-grandchildren Canaan Hendrix and Colton Bowman.


He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Ann Maw; and his sister Julia Maw.
