Nothing like a 4 mile hike up 1600 vertical feet with a 72 hour pack, I always say.

This weekend we took 5 cadets up this trail, camped overnight in 40 degree weather, and proceeded to work on some GTM3 reqs. Yours truly got massive blisters on my heels, but I did show my mettle by forgoing the weight of a tent and sleeping under a tarp (did I mention it was around 40  degrees?). My tarp shelter was pretty high speed, though...

We did give the cadets a little comfort. We brought up some cooking gear on an ATV and treated them to pancakes and eggs for breakfast.
