ARE we allowed to bring outsiders from cap to the CADET BALL IN NH, the day ofter the cadet confrence.

Except for the last word, every other word is an abbrevation.  Cool, I didn't know that.

General FYI - technically they are initialisms, not abbreviations.

Abbreviations are shortened versions of single words, like Feb. for February. An initialism is the combination of the initial letters of two or more words into a combination. Acronyms are a subset of initialisms that are pronounceable as words. FYI is an initialism; LASER is an acronym.
