Title: Level 1 Approval
Post by: coudano on November 25, 2019, 11:17:17 PM
Greetings,
I'm a Senior Squadron commander, and I seem to have lost the ability to approve a Level 1 for a new member.
Member has completed all training
I have input the summary convo credit in LMS
Everything shows as complete on the member's training tab

When I go to the membership system pro dev award entry
it pops up a notification saying this member is still pending approval for level 1

However, when i look at pro dev award approvals, nothing is pending
Also none pending in my commander's approvals on the front page

My sqdn pro dev officer can't see anything either
My group commander can't see anything either

I just did one of these perhaps last month,
the module looks different to me...

Am I the only one having trouble with this???
It's holding up a member's specialty track appointment as well as his general es qual.

On a completely unrelated note,
does anyone have a source on the comm inventory window?
r100-1 says to do one, and update it annually but it does not seem to specify WHEN???

Thanks yall

Can't help on the Level 1, but the Comm inventory needs to be completed between 1 Oct and 31 Dec. Unless your wing/region has set an earlier date.

What about the Equal Employment training?

In my squadron we had a  member that appeared to have passed everything on Level I but it was not appearing on her record. A call to NHQ Personnel found out that apparently the EO training had not been done. She did it and voila! That fixed her record.

Online Training -- Learning Management Systems -- Cadet Programs -- Equal Opportunity Training. This is where EO appears in my records.

If you think this may not be the problem, call NHQ Personnel Recorder. She will find the problem quickly enough.

Those dates are specified in the property management reg "property inventory"
but not the comm management reg (?)
Or does the property inventory reg manage comm property as well,
even though they don't appear in the same module?

Equal Opportunity, yes it appears in the training complete.
I believe it is all included on Level 1 Foundations anyway...

Also the Award Level 1 module "succeeded" in letting me submit.
Usually if something is missing it will fail and flag the reason.

Something seems to be fishy.

I believe the last time I broached this I was told that "property is property" and the reg applies to
both, with the only reason Comms has a whole separate module is that the people involved won't admit
that "property is property" and that an HT isn't special.

Then call NHQ Personnel Recorder. She will look at the senior member's record and figure out the problem in a jiffy.

However in my senior member's case, EO was separate of the rest of the Level I module.

The other thing that sometimes trips people up is the Cadet Basic Protection Training. Is that marked as complete? While it should have been flagged as completed when the member completed their quiz as part of Level 1, I have had to enter it manually at times. Please check that.

I'm pretty sure that it just won't let me approve it since i'm the one who submitted it.
However nobody else seems to be able to see it...
meh

If it's not for yourself, it shouldn't be a problem. I have submitted and subsequently approved training items several times, especially when it doesn't require commander approval.

Got a resolution on this today,
When I renewed my CAP membership somehow my "commander" permissions got dropped off of my profile
so i couldn't see anything.
They got put back and everything was right again.

The common feature in all of your broken relationships is you.

yay

If your membership lapses, your duty positions in eServices become unassigned. When you renew, your duties need to be reassigned. That applies to any duty position.

but nonetheless :)

Gotcha. I figured it was the case just based on how it was described.
eServices wonkiness strikes again.
