PAUL R. CASALESE, 70, of Jackson Twp, NJ passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023. He was born in Newark, NJ, and later relocated to Jackson Twp., where he graduated from Jackson Memorial High School Class of 1971.
Paul proudly served his country in the US Army Reserves.
He was employed by the Ocean County Sheriff's Department for 25 years prior to his retirement in 2006.
Paul was an avid reader with a great appreciation for Word War II History, as well as the Old West, the 1920's, and WW II re-enactments. He was a mentor of the Navy Sea Cadets, and a member the Civil Air Patrol.
In 2010 he joined the US Coast Guard Auxiliary, where at the time of his death was holding four Officer positions. He received over 45 Awards and Commendations during his time with the Coast Guard. He truly enjoyed volunteering his time to a cause close to his heart.
Paul was predeceased by his parents, Paul Casalese and Angelina Schumacher. He is survived by his sister, Sally Zappola and her husband, Marc of Port Saint Lucie, FL; and by his niece, Lauren Christen of Lanoka Harbor, NJ.
