In the United Kingdom the Combined Cadet Force is more prevalent in independent schools than state schools. However in America you can't find a JROTC at any private school. Why is this? Do American private school administrators see JROTC as something only poor and middle class public school students do? Are they too elitist to see cadets as a legitimate after school activity? I want a Civil Air Patrol cadet squadron, a chapter of the Young Marines, or a Sea Cadet Battalion established at my private school. I believe a cadet squadron can bring more prestige to any school public or private. What is your take on this matter? How man we market CAP, YM, and Sea Cadets to elite private schools?

Google appears to disagree.

Did you ask your school?  What was their response?
