I'm looking to purchase a Lightweight Blue Jacket as described on Page 37 of the 39-1 (Uniform Standards); The only people in my squadron who have them got them from an air force base nearby, and if I could just order it online it would save a lot of hassle and 3 hours drive time both ways.

I found one on Ebay, but I'd rather purchase a new one from somewhere trusted. I just flat out don't trust ebay with anything as important as CAP.

Thanks for any help.

They jacked the price up on it... I paid 75ish a year or so ago when I bought mine from UDC.  No, you can't buy yours from UDC... I'm special.

I got mine at MCSS at Barksdale AFB about a year ago, but it was only about $60.00...

The cheapest source for these is Old Lincoln County ( www.olcnet.com )

The ones they sell are used but in good condition. I bought mine there and it's fine.

Wish they had some more sizes available. But I guess when you're dealing with used / surplus, you take what you can get...

I got one from a surplus dealer on eBay, for about $18-20 including shipping. They listed it as in "good" condition, and I figured it was worth a try.  It arrived and I would classify it as "excellent" condition.  I am very happy to wear it as part of my CAP uniform.

One heads-up -- for this jacket, you'll need the velcro grade insignia.  The epaulets on this jacket are sewed down on both ends, so the slip-on insignia won't work.

Anyone know where I could get one in khaki or black? If so, please PM me.

If it's khaki or black then it's not blue anymore  :)

Which would matter if I were inquiring about it to wear with my CAP uniform. Im looking for a khaki or black on to wear with IMERT uniforms.

But if it was black then we could wear it with the TPU.
