Remotely Piloted Aircraft Escort Mission Administrator (Part-time).  Works independently to provide administrative and office management support to the HQ CAP Director of Operations and the RPA Escort project officers.

The ideal candidate will possess:


Must have two years of verifiable experience in an administrative position demonstrating attention to detail in accurately composing, preparing, and proofing written material to meet established deadlines while juggling multiple competing priorities.
Must have excellent Microsoft Office skills including a solid working knowledge of Word and Excel.
Must be able to compose non-technical correspondence using a strong command of the English language and proper punctuation.
Knowledge of administrative procedures and practices relating to files required.
Must have experience operating office equipment such as copier and fax machine.
Job requires a high level of interpersonal skills including poise, tact, and diplomacy.
Ability to work occasional short-notice overtime required.
Knowledge of Civil Air Patrol preferred.
Ability to adapt correspondence to standard Air Force guidelines desired.
Associates Degree preferred.
Bookkeeping experience preferred.

It looks like this position (given it's only "part-time") would be well suited for telework, or even off shoring (to Russia, China, or others who have expressed an interest in current UAS technology).  :)

I would enjoy it, but I'm 800 miles away and it doesn't pay enough and ... no, its not a telework situation. When new crews come in they have to be given the guided tour and a class to teach all the procedures. And then to be around the first couple days (or more) in case there are any problems. The fellow that does it now may as well be on 24 hour call. He stays very busy keeping working planes and crews and shuffling them around.
