Jackets for Corporate

So for the polo/gray pants combo:

"Appropriate civilian outergarments are authorized" <-- Now what does that mean?

"Appropriate" for the weather? As in anything hanging in my closet? The wording makes it look like my brown Carhartt would be ok. (Its what I wore flying yesterday. LOL)

I wish there was some standard, like black or dark blue. As written in CAPM 39-1, any civilian jacket can be worn.
