Hey, this thread may have been started as a joke but it is not far from reality.

Read one of the requirements for a Finance Administration Section Chief, FASC SQTR:

Complete Task F-4102 - Demonstrate the ability to determine the need to setup
and operate an incident commissary

Here is part of the training for the FASC SQTR:

Training Outline
1. As a mission progresses, the need to make provision for creature comforts increases.
2. The finance/admin plan should include a list of items that are likely candidates such as coffee,
doughnuts, sandwiches, etc.

3. How much and how these items are provided is a function of the mission base location. The
availability of a nearby store may obviate the need for you to arrange for many of these items

The store could be a Dunkin Donuts or a Starbucks!

Squadron Communication Officer
Squadron Emergency Services Officer

Or, for those lucky enough to have one, Tim Horton's

Why is this under finance and not logistics where it belongs?

Finance figures out the need, budget constraints, and best place for acquisition.  Logistics actually procures the stuff, figures out where the table goes, where to plug in the coffee machine, and arranges the donuts according to type and taste.  The master of both skills becomes a Master Mission Coffee Officer...
A very prestigious rating to have.  ;D

CAPDCCMOM

^^^ True a very honorable position to have. However, you might be put in harm's way if you switch people to decaf.

You would need serious Critical Incident Stress Management on stand by.

Thonawit

Actually you would need the "Coffee Incident Stress Management" Team. That being said, it would be the Team decision to switch a person to decaf.

Example of IC who needs the switch to decaf
Regularly contradicts, contradicted CAP Regulations...

I just got word that several Mission Coffee Officers had their qualifications suspended in eServices yesterday for failure to complete ICUT.

Luis R. Ramos

ICUT is one of the primary requirements. If a Mission Coffee Officer does not have ICUT, how is he/she to pass the word that the coffee is ready?

That's what the status board is for!

I see.

One column for Regular, another column for Decaf, and as many other columns as varieties.

Lines for the different status: Cups acquired; Grinding; Brewing; Done; Ran Out; Buying More... The MSAs receive the report from the Mission Coffee Officer and update the board as needed?

If so, why would the Mission Coffee Officer need an ICUT? Not questioning but I wonder. Is it to contact anyone going out for a resupply run?

Did anyone remember what the FEMA NIMS IS class I stated as a requirement earlier was for? IS-26, Points of Distribution!

The use of Decaf must be approved by a Health Services Officer accompanied by a Rx.

^^ You would also need appropriate PPE. And an extensive ORM. Burning coffee is cause for 2b proceedings to begin. The Decaf authorization must be approved by the IC, at his own peril.

I was thinking that you will likely need a ground team to clear the cobwebs off the decaf pot from time to time to prevent severe overgrowth.

CAPDCCMOM

^^ If anyone switches our Flight Line Supervisor to Decaf, we will need a Ground Team to find the Mission Coffee Officer. >:D

There's always the GTM1 SQTR task to work with Dog Teams, great training opportunity to work with cadaver dogs!

CAPDCCMOM

Would that qualify you for the "Find Ribbon", or Meritorious Service for removing a Mission Coffee Officer that would dare to switch to Decaf?

Spam

Perhaps in lieu of a FIND ribbon, a (wait for it...)

... GRIND ribbon?
