It was a bad scene Seawind 3000 straight in at about a 60 degree angle. The debris field stretched for about 300m along the side of a lake. Multiple trees downed as the plane came in. The pilot did not survive. The operation to find the aircraft went off as textbook example of air to ground coordination. Civil Air Patrol took the lead in the search, helping local law enforcement, EMS, Fire and EM personnel. Once the find was made we transfered control over to the Caswell County Sheriff. The local groups were great to work with and all parties had one goal in mind.
