Here's a neat little slideshow / multimedia presentation of 24 hours worth of happenings at KATL as seen from multiple facets. Very cool!
Random excerpt: new FedEx cargo jets are named for the child of a FedEx employee. Interested participants put their child's name into a raffle to get their kid's first name put on the side of the plane just below the cockpit window same as fighter pilots.

"Busiest airport" my red fanny!
LONG LIVE THE ORCHARD!
The Peaches bombed the Orchard by quite a bit in aircraft movement and passenger boardings.
On single runway madness, the Padres take the title, which is interesting because it's not even a hub airport.
I loved the presentation CNN did at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport KATL. They did a special on Atlanta air traffic controllers, who I have to say are the best of the best! I have the utmost respect and love of our air traffic controllers. CNN's close-up of how air traffic control in Atlanta works gives a better picture of the behind-the-scenes at the Atlanta Airport and other airports nationwide, and ultimately around the world.
