Well, this isn't really an "I'm here." It's more of an "I'm back."

You'll probably find me in the CP-type threads, pretending like I know what I'm talking about and trying to see how many of all y'all I can fool into thinking that I do. ;D

That said, I'm SM (or is that "Officer Candidate"?) Jackie Briski, Assistant Leadership Officer for GLR-MI-073, the South Oakland Cadet Squadron.

Oh so Brisk... does my avatar here make me look like a tool, too?  ;)

Welcome (back)!  Now get to work and generate some interesting CP Management topics!   ;D

Yeah, I'm still a little apprehensive about hanging it all out but this seems to be a good meeting place for all of us across the country.

I hope that our chain(s) of commmand monitor this site as well and pick the meaningful suggestions from it.

Why don't you send the good parts up the chain of command yourself?

Hello All! I got my "Welcome to CAPTalk" e-mail this morning and figured I'd pop in and say "Hi" during a slow time here at work.

I like the idea of sending info from CAPTalk up the chain of command. Keep in mind that many of the leadership also have full time jobs and can't spend as much time online as some cadets can. It's often much easier for us to read a brief summary than an entire thread.

I suggest using a memo format and keeping the initial message to a one page summary - either short paragraphs or outline form. Be sure to include your contact info so anyone interested in your idea can contact you for more information.

no time right now, but just wanted to say hi.

Just back from Benning, and still in recovery - man was that first beer by the pool nice!!!

I don't know how much I can be on CAPTalk for a while yet, but at worst I'll be in & out. Very out of touch with everything, including all the goings on around here & with CAP in general. I'll try to get caught up, and look forward to continued professional interation with my fellow officers.
