Daniel P. Roman of Warrenville, Illinois passed away at his home Saturday September 10, 2022 with his mother and father at his side.

Daniel was born in Winfield Illinois on December 2, 1986 to Marcia and John Roman.

He grew up in Warrenville Illinois and graduated from Wheaton-Warrenville South High School (Class of 2005) where he was active in music (Concert band, Marching band, Show choir band, Pit orchestra) and track & field sports.

At age 13, he joined the Civil Air Patrol (CAP), an auxiliary of the U.S. Airforce, where he was active for twenty two years. As a youth, he attained the rank of Cadet Colonel and earned the General Carl A. Spaatz Award, the highest award a cadet can earn. As an adult in CAP, he attained the rank of Lt. Colonel, earned many awards and held many positions at the local, group, state, region, and national levels of the organization. In 2021 Civil Air Patrol awarded Daniel "The Exceptional Service Award", Presented by Gen. Mark E. Smith, National Commander, Civil Air Patrol.

Daniel was employed by Colorado Technical University for the last twelve years as Financial Aid Team Lead, where he met many wonderful coworkers and made many good friends.

Daniel is survived by his mother and father, siblings; Richard (Fiancée Cindy Donda) of Wheaton, IL, Samuel (Laura) of North Aurora, IL, Anthony of North Aurora, IL, as well as Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Friends, coworkers and his CAP Family.

Daniel touched the hearts of hundreds of people through his friendship, mentoring, leadership by example and his inspiring journey battling cancer. He has left a huge hole in all of our hearts and will be greatly missed.
