Parachuting is an aerospace activity that many of us have or currently participate in.

What think you of allowing those who have earned a USAP license to wear some sort of jump wings (not the military jump wings...don't go there )?

Sure, why not? For practicality purposes, use the original CAP Jump wings. (I would say wear them like they used to, but that sleeve is taken for the moment on utilities.) Put a copy of your USPA license in your 201 file, have the CO sign a 2A awarding the wings.

I already have my CAP jumpwings worn right there.

Of course, when I put my shirt on, you can't see them.

someone more qualified than me can correct me or otherwise clarrify: but if I remember hearing correctly doesnt the NSCC as part of thier advance training have badges for special recognition of special skills such as SCUBA diving and SKYDIVING?

The more I think about it, my last post to this thread was pretty bad. The idea of having rope insertion from a helicopter would be pretty bad. Especially with some who like to get skill badges just to have them and don't practice. Not to mention there is really no asset (even if CAP were to get helicopters) to train the way it would need to be done. Just a bad Idea, cool, but bad.

Can't speak to the NSCC, but the US Army Cadet Corps has both a scuba badge (for scuba qualified folks) and jump wings (for those of us who are jump qualified).  Unfortunately, there are very few places in the US where you can jump under the age of 18, so for a cadet to be awarded the wings these days usually happens in the latter part of their time as a cadet, and of course, its not a sanctioned USAC activity (for obvious insurance & liability reasons).
