Title: Some interesting old relics...
Post by: The CyBorg is destroyed on January 20, 2013, 06:17:52 AM
Not sure how many of you have seen this page (apologies to those who have) but I thought it was kind of cool...

The "unauthorised pilot wings" are interesting, as is the observer's half-wing.  I also liked that virtually all of them have enamelled centres.

EDIT: I just thought of something...this should have gone in "Hysterical History."  My bad.

I liked the fact that they awarded a badge to those who had to ditch in the ocean.  Not the best way to earn bling!

"I lost the plane so they made me wear this %*&&^C)_ Duck Club pin!"

Actually, the Duck Club pin was strictly an unofficial item, created by those involved.

In regards to AdAstra's mention. A patch was created, but the pin was a creation used at CP-21.
