Title: WW II, NCO stripes
Post by: BillB on April 07, 2012, 10:09:54 AM
Looking at the current "Volunteer", I wonder where ayone found the World War II red background NCO stripes? They show up on eBay maybe once a year. But where can you buy them or are they custom made? I need several sets and can't find them.

There is a good chance they were/are manufactured as a custom patch.  That is how I would approach getting a pair.

They have a source for them, most of the originals were hand made

Didn't we use the U.S Army Enlisted Rank Structure back in the 1940's?

We used the Army Air Force grade structure, but if you look at the enlisted stripes, they are more like WW II USMC stripes. Red on Khaki
