If you walked into my practice mission and the AF was not around I'd most likely laugh and carry on.

If the AF was eval/observing OR we were on an active for real no crap mission I'd tell you to take it off.

I'm just curious: other than wasting money to have a cutesy tag printed, why did you use the improper rank abbreviation (ie 2dLT vs 2LT)?

It is not improper. See CAPR 35-5 or this thread - http://captalk.net/index.php?topic=1030.0

For whatever reason NHQ likes to use the screwed up abbreiviations on membership cards and the like...

My mistake...he used the right one on the name tag and the wrong one (Army style) in his signature line on the post.
