Lt Col Ron Bradford was the squadron commander of Dekalb County Cadet Squadron (charter number 09065, later SER-GA-065) from 1971 until his untimely death in 1986. He was the Director of Emergency Services and the Director of Cadet Programs for Georgia Wing.


While serving in the U.S. Army in Vietnam, he was decorated with the following awards:


Combat Infantry Badge
Silver Star (for valorous actions on 4 March 1968)
Purple Heart (for valorous actions on 4 March 1968)
National Defense Service Medal
Vietnam Service Medal
Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal

He is buried at Melwood Cemetery, Stone Mountain, Georgia.
