Wondering if metal insignia instead of cloth is allowed on the ABU uniform for cadet officers. I am wondering this as I have seen many JROTC cadets with the same metal insignia as we use.

To add on - we operate under CAP regs, not ROTC. CAPM 39-1 has all (most of?) the details on what is permitted on the various CAP uniform combinations.

The big thing is that the blue background is part of our grade insignia. Kinda hard to do with metal pin-on insignia.
