Good afternoon/evening all,

I've been in CAP since 2006 and active Navy for the past 5 moving around the country. I just moved into a new area and want to get back involved. My only problem is I am deploying at the beginning of the year, if it was your squadron would you rather I come in after my deployment vice transfer now only to be of minimal support for a couple months then off for another 7? All thoughts and opinions are welcome!

TIA

I would wait.

FYI - last I checked members deployed have their dues waived, but you have to notify NHQ in advance.

I think it'd be a good idea to visit unit before hand to see what they think.

Are you a current member, or rejoining? If a current member, either option is available, dependent on a conversation with the gaining unit. If rejoining, I would wait, but contact the unit anyway.

I'm a current member so not really about a dues thing. I want to get involved just don't want to show up and waste anyone's time on someone who will be gone for 7 months. Appreciate all the feedback I'll reach out to the squadron
