Never heard of it before.  That's awesome, thanks for sharing the link.

Perhaps  this could be retitled CAP history Online Museum.
I thought it was referring to a brick and mortar place.
Just a thought. :)

Thanks for sharing the link!  I hope more CAP members take a look!

What are the website stats on visits there?  Lots of people?

I love the advertisements... Camel, the official cigarette of the Civil Air Patrol!

As a $ raiser, I wonder if the museum could offer re-prints of those cool old advertisements in poster-size.

Yes, it awesome isn't it??  I do not think very many people have checked it out yet.  That is why we should spread the word, right?

Looking through the photos, I see a guy in a picture that looks like it is from the 50's and he is wearing the "old" ES patch with the airplane.  Can someone remind me again why we have the "ugly" dog patch now?  I know you can wear either or but The Hock is the only place I have found that sells the "old" one.

What picture?  Which "Old" ES patch?

The dog patch was from the Second World War into the mid 1960's.  The oval patch with the T-34 didn't come out until 1966 or 1967.

Remember, you aren't required to wear the ES patch.  I can't stand either of them.

Must be my eyesight going out on me...

I choose to wear the oval shaped patch versus the "dog patch."  I have found it very difficult to explain to people that we are a serious search and rescue organization while wearing the goofy dog thing.

You can actually get one of the original posters on ebay for around $8-$10 dollars. I have almost all of them. They do have a really nice poster of the CAP 50th Annv you could get. They have the regular ones and the limited edition ones.

Where do you get them from?  They would look nice in my den.
