Just in case it's not perfectly clear, airplanes live in hangars; clothing lives on hangers.

"Let's eat Grandma!"

or

"Let's eat, Grandma!"

1 of the most common problems i see when communicating online is when ppl dun use capital letters good punctuation or shorten words and use abbreviations really drives me nuts how about you?

Actually, I teach ESL for a living. It's understandable when an English learner makes mistakes or when native speakers do it occasionally. It's embarrassing when a so called professional native English speaker makes them on a regular basis. Reminds me of a school counselor where I worked years ago. Every time she sent an email it made me wonder how she was able to earn a master's degree.

Texting and online communications (such as on facebook) are by no means academic writing, one might be more tolerant of the context of writing on forums.

What's more...when online in a forum like this if one comes in here using proper grammar and taking time to construct proper sentences they are assumed to be pompous, arrogant and a host of other things many of YOU called ME when I first came on here.

Since then, I take less time when posting here and people have "got over it" to some degree.

...'nuff said!  (sorry..."Enough has been said!")
