Emergency Responders Team Up For Training

SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa. -- Emergency responders in Somerset County spent the weekend participating in search and rescue training exercises.
The simulated scenarios included a missing elderly womand from Laurel View Village retirement community and an airplane crash with three passengers on-board.
Those involved in the training said it helped them get the kinks out so they are ready for the real thing.

Did PAWG find out that there was training?  You are going to be in a lot of trouble.

It's been in WIMRS for months.

Trouble doesn't travel this far west  ::)

It was a great training event.  The weather could have been better for the aircrew training, but this is something that has to be considered in the real world events as well as in training events.

Training in the rain is something that those on the ground have to deal with in real world situations.

It would be great to get more field training exercises like this.

There will be more, I'm certain of that.

Glad to have had you on the activity.
