Hey all, I'm C/CMSgt Rachel Hess Spokane composite squadron, I have been in CAP for almost 3 years and will be handing in my paperwork tonight for my Billy Mitchell:) I have been on WAWG forum for a while now and have been thinking it would be neat to have a national forum. I was talking to another CAC rep about my idea and they mentioned CAP talk. Lo and behold one already exists! Lets make sure cadets know its here ;D

V. Basile

I'm C/SSGT Victoria Basile, from Peninsula Composite Squadron.  (Washington).  I have been in CAP for 1 1/2 years now, and completely enjoying it!  My basic encampment was Cascade Falcon XIV.  I have attended numerous WAWG activities, also.  I am also the Third Element Leader at my squadron.  I am also the Activities NCO.  I have planned one event so far, and it went great!   :)

Congrats on the successful activity and welcome to CAPTalk.  Hopefully you can gain some additional ideas and insight here.

Star-Maker

Hi all!  I'm a 2d Lieutenant from Massachusetts Wing.  I've been in CAP for six months (just got promoted to 2Lt from SMWOG earlier this week).  I've been lurking since before I actually joined CAP, and finally decided to take the plunge and join.

So far, I'm an Assistant Comm Officer and Assistant ES Training Officer for my squadron.  I'm working on my Comm Technician rating, and hope to have it finished pretty soon (I'm just waiting on a comm exercise and an opportunity to take ACUT).  I've participated in three SAREXes, got GTM3-qualified, earned my Disaster Assessment certification from the Red Cross, and am registered for Team Leader school at NESA GSAR.  I'm chomping at the bit a little to go on an actual mission. :D

In "real life" I'm a computer science researcher and part-time grad student.

notaNCO forever

I've been here for a while but I've have not been on in a while since i was at Air Force bmt, so I guess this is more of an I'm back post. Currently I'm at goodfellow for tech school, and I'm hoping to visit the squadron here soon. Once I transfer to the dark side I hope to participate in cap activily again. Right know I'm still a cadet which I technically can't be anymore.

Is it true that in Birmingham they love the governor?  And that you all did what you had to do?  And that Neil Young shouldn't some around after all?  And a Southern man doesn't need him around?  Just wondering.   ;D

New guy here.  Navy veteran, been in CAP almost one year.  I work as an Archivist at a small college and a circulation clerk at a local library.  Going to Graduate school in the fall for my MSLS.  I am the Safety Officer, Logistics Office and the Deputy Commander for Cadets. Trying to get my GT3, then GTL.  Just stumbling through my own inexperience trying to get things done.

Well I was a cadet and made Mitchell when I was a teen. It's been five years since I have been in CAP and left as a senior member flight officer. My name is David Benton I'm 23 and I'm hoping to rejoin my old unit soon. I have a question though. Do I need to redo Level 1 if I have already done it back in 2006, and can I wear my VFW NCO of the Year award on my Senior member uniform?

Didn't you already ask that in a different thread?

Actually I asked it here first but decided to ask in another thread.

You would have to redo Level I if it has been more than two years since your membership expired. As soon as you complete Level I, you would be eligible for 2d Lt without waiting six months because of your Mitchell award. Also, to answer your question on another thread, you should get your CAPID number you had before.
