I was on IMDB.com earlier looking for a supposed piece of lore about a munchkin killing himself on the set of The Wizard of Oz and came across this:

"Meinhardt Raabe, who played the Coroner of Munchkinland, was, at one time, the shortest licensed pilot in the U.S. During WWII, he volunteered for military service and was turned down. He was accepted as a volunteer instructor in the Civil Air Patrol."

Just thought it was interesting.
Still a major after all these years.

The uniform issue kills me to be honest.
way back when WIWAC (wearing a pickle suit...) we would have done anything to get the salad suits we have now. I just cant resist the urge to rile up the masses 8)

And he was born about half an hour from where I live.
