The Air Force Association just gave CAP a Lifetime Achievement Award that apparently was primarily based on what we did in WWII.

Leaving aside the question of how an organization is eligible for a "lifetime" award, I would probably argue that CAP's wartime service, while certainly honorable and useful, was of much less benefit to the nation than what we've been doing for the other 65 years....
